Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience
- Strong practical experience in Health, Safety & Environment management and supervision
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety practices, procedures, and controls
- Experience in hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA)
- Ability to conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, and compliance reviews
- Experience in incident and near-miss reporting, investigation, and corrective-action follow-up
- Knowledge of environmental protection and compliance requirements
- Strong communication, reporting, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to promote and maintain a strong HSE culture across operational teams
- Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent would be an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and programs across operations
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts, conditions, and environmental risks
- Perform and review risk assessments and job safety analyses and ensure appropriate controls are implemented
- Monitor compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and follow up on corrective actions
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, inductions, and awareness programs
- Monitor proper use of PPE and safe working practices
- Maintain HSE documentation, inspection records, incident reports, and performance statistics
- Support emergency preparedness, drills, and response procedures
- Coordinate with operational and management teams to address HSE observations and close outstanding actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing workplace risks and improving environmental performance
